This page explains the full journey of a UGC campaign — from your first idea to an approved video you can use. Each step links to a detailed guide.

Key terms

The journey at a glance

1. Create a campaign

Describe what you need: campaign name, description, niche, country, and how the product reaches the creator. A campaign you have not paid for is saved automatically as a draft. See Create a campaign.

2. Decide what you need and check out

Pick the type and number of videos, review the total, and pay. See Create a campaign.

3. Define your videos

For each video, tell the creator what to do. You can apply the same brief to every video of the same type or customize each one. Submit the brief to make the video active for matching — saved is not submitted. Once a creator joins and accepts the brief, it can no longer be edited. See Define your videos.

4. Matching

Stllr recommends your videos to creators who fit your brief. A creator reviews the brief and joins. Until then the video shows Matching you with the right creators. See How creator matching works.

5. Shipping (only if a physical product is involved)

You send the product to the creator and add a tracking link. Shipping runs in parallel with scripting — the script does not wait for the product. See Ship a product to your creator.

6. Scripting

Scripting happens alongside shipping. The script can come from you or from the creator. You can provide your own script and approve it for the creator to follow, or wait for the creator to join, read the brief, and submit their own for your review. See Review a script.

7. Filming

Filming starts once the script is approved and, if a product is involved, the creator has received it. The creator then films and uploads the video. Creators have 7 days to upload from the moment they are assigned (or from the moment they receive the product).

8. Review

You watch the video and either approve it or request changes. If you request changes, the video goes back to the creator (Reshooting) and returns to review when they upload a new version. Edits before approval are free. After approval, further edits are paid and the price depends on the video type. See Review a video.

9. Approved

Once you approve, the creator is paid, the watermark is removed from the video, and the video is saved to your Library. See After your video is approved. Approval is the end of the journey: your video is delivered.

After delivery: Two things we recommend

Once your video is delivered, there are two more things worth doing. They are not part of getting your video, but they get you more from Stllr.
  • Rate your creator — we strongly encourage it. It takes a minute and helps Stllr recognize great creators and match you with the right ones next time.
  • Try Remix — we strongly recommend it. Remix is a special add-on feature that turns your approved video into new variations, so one video can become many versions for different audiences and channels.
Both are available as soon as the video is approved, and neither waits for the other. See After your video is approved.

Phases on your video page

Every video has a progress timeline: See Track your campaign and videos for how to read the campaign page.

When something goes wrong

  • Talk to the creator first. Use the project chat for questions, clarifications, and requests. Most issues are solved there.
  • Change the creator if the creator is not working out. See Resolve a problem with a creator.
  • Cancel and get a refund if you no longer need the video. See Cancel a video and get a refund.
  • Contact Stllr support if chatting with the creator cannot solve it.

Pay as you go vs Premier

Both follow the journey above.
  • PAYG: you create the campaign, brief the videos, review and approve — everything is self-serve.
  • Premier: the Stllr team manages the campaign for you from brief to delivery, including a curated list of creators for you to choose from (shared outside the platform) and quality review. Videos may show Under Stllr review while the team checks them before they reach you.
See How to join Stllr as a brand for the differences.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on matching, product shipping (if any), the script, and your review speed. Each video page shows estimated SLAs — days left for the creator to submit the script and the video. Reviewing quickly keeps the campaign moving.
If you provide the script yourself, you approve it so the creator follows it. If you wait for the creator, they submit their own script after joining and you review it. See Review a script.
The creator cannot move forward until you respond, and the Stllr team follows up on stalled campaigns. Review as soon as you can to keep your campaign on schedule.
