Projects are the core of your activity on Stllr. Each project is a video brief from a brand that defines what they need, who they want, and what they will pay. As a creator, your job is to find the right projects, join them, deliver the video, and get paid.

Project types

There are two types of projects on Stllr: See Creator levels and tiers on Stllr for details on eligibility.

How you get matched with projects

There are two ways a project can become available to you:

Recommendation

Stllr’s matching engine compares your profile — niche, language, country, face preference, and follower count — against active project briefs and recommends the ones you are a good fit for. The ops team can also recommend projects to specific creators manually, though this is less common. When a project is recommended to you, it appears on your Explore page. You can review the full brief and decide whether to join.

Direct assignment

For some projects — particularly premium campaigns — the Stllr ops team hand-picks creators and assigns them directly without going through the recommendation step. When this happens, you are contacted by the team and added to the project. You do not need to take any action to join.

The Explore page

The Explore page shows all projects currently recommended to you. Each listing shows the project brief, including the brand’s requirements, video type, instructions, and other details. You can only see projects that the matching engine or ops team has recommended to you — the Explore page is not a global catalogue of all active projects on the platform.

Joining a project

When you find a project on Explore that you want to join, you can self-assign by clicking to join. Before the assignment is confirmed, Stllr will show you:
  1. Profile requirement gaps — any brief requirements your profile does not fully meet. The matching engine allows some flexibility, so you may be recommended for projects where not every requirement is a perfect match. Review these carefully before joining.
  2. Terms and conditions — you must accept these to proceed.
Once confirmed, you are assigned to the project and it moves to your active projects.

Active project limit

You can have a maximum of 3 active (ongoing) projects at the same time. A project is considered active from the moment you join until it is completed or cancelled. If you are already in 3 active projects, you cannot join a new one until one of them is finished. This limit does not apply to projects assigned directly by the ops team.

Physical product projects

Some projects involve a physical product. These projects have two additional attributes visible on the project page:
  • Product reimbursement — if the project requires you to buy the product yourself locally rather than have it shipped to you, Stllr reimburses the product cost to your wallet after your video is approved, alongside your earnings. See Product reimbursement.
  • Product return — each physical product project has a status of either Gift (you keep it) or Returned (you send it back via courier once the video is finalized or the project ends). See Product return.

Frequently asked questions

The Explore page only shows projects recommended to you based on your profile. There are two possible reasons for an empty page:
  • Profile incomplete — make sure your niche, language, country, and social account are all set correctly. See Your creator profile on Stllr.
  • No matching briefs right now — brief availability is entirely demand-driven. It depends on what brands are currently running on the platform. Gaps between projects are normal, especially in slower periods. Keep the app open and check back regularly — new briefs are added as brands launch campaigns.
There are two possible reasons. The brand may have requested a different creator, or the Stllr ops team may have determined you are not the right fit for the project after reviewing it. In either case, you are removed from the project. If you believe this was an error, contact Stllr support.
Any project you have joined that has not yet been completed or cancelled counts as active. This includes projects in any phase — shipping, scripting, filming, reviewing, or refiling.
