Signing up with Instagram is the recommended method if you have an Instagram account. It links your Instagram profile to Stllr instantly, imports your follower count and uploaded videos, and gives you the most complete profile setup experience of any signup method.

Before you start

  • Have an Instagram account.
  • Your Instagram account must be a professional account (creator or business type). Personal accounts cannot be used to sign up. If your account is personal, Instagram will guide you through converting it to a professional account before completing the login.
  • Prepare an email address to use for your Stllr account — it does not have to be the same email associated with your Instagram account.

Steps

  1. Go to the Stllr signup page.
  2. Select Continue with Instagram.
  3. Enter the email address you want to use for your Stllr account and submit.
  4. You are redirected to Instagram’s login page. Sign in with your Instagram credentials and grant the requested permissions.
  5. If your account is a personal account, Instagram will prompt you to convert it to a professional account before proceeding. Follow the steps shown and you will be returned to the Stllr redirect automatically.
  6. You are redirected back to Stllr and your account is created with your Instagram profile linked.
  7. You are taken to profile setup to complete your profile.

Why Stllr asks for your email

Instagram does not share your email address with third-party apps during login. Because Stllr requires an email address for account notifications and support, you are asked to provide one before being redirected to Instagram. This email becomes your primary Stllr account email and can be used to log in alongside Instagram. The email you provide does not need to match the one on your Instagram account.

What gets imported

When you sign up with Instagram, the following information is pulled from your Instagram profile and used to pre-fill parts of your Stllr profile: Stllr can automatically fetch a sample of your uploaded videos during profile setup. This makes the work samples step significantly faster and gives your profile an immediate advantage when being evaluated by brands and the matching engine.

After signing up

Once your account is created, you are taken directly to profile setup — a short 6-step form that prepares your profile for project matching. The key difference is that Instagram also provides your uploaded video URLs, allowing Stllr to auto-fetch your work samples during profile setup. Yes, you can. Walk through the “Forgot password” flow to create a new password for your account. This will allow you to log in with email and password in addition to Instagram in the future.
